LPIC-1 101 Learning Materials released in Spanish and Portuguese

The LPIC-1 Learning Materials for the 101 exam are now available in Spanish and Portuguese. This comprehensive guide is part of a series of Learning Materials developed by Linux Professional Institute (LPI) volunteers around the world to alert candidates to the topics they will encounter on the LPI exams. The Learning Materials are not meant to be a substitute for the other sources of information: training programs, books that are available through many publishers, and--of course--intensive, hands-on experience with the computer systems themselves.

LPI is committed to providing access to knowledge about free and open source software to as wide a range of users and administrators as possible. As part of that goal, LPI has been translating both its tests and its training materials into a number of languages.

A growing number of the exams is available online in Spanish and Portuguese, using the Pearson OnVUE service. Where pandemic conditions allow people to gather in person, the LPIC-1 exams are also available in these languages.

"With the translation of the Learning Materials for the first LPIC-1 exam into Spanish and Portuguese, we have reached another important milestone," says Dr. Markus Wirtz, Manager Education Programs LPI. "My special thanks go to the translators and reviewers for their great work."
