Web development is an excellent skill to have for staff in any modern company or nonprofit. For individuals who want to learn computer programming, web development is also a good place to start. Now, to accompany the Web Development Essentials certificate, Linux Professional Institute has released free Learning Materials about web development in Vietnamese.
Readers of Vietnamese have already been able to study the Learning Materials for Linux Essentials, which are currently offered in 14 languages. The Learning Materials for Web Development Essentials, now that the Vietnamese translation is released, are offered in 11 languages.
Web Development Essentials start with basic HTML and CSS, the languages for laying out web pages. The Essentials then introduce JavaScript and advance to programming topics for both the front-end (code running in the browser) and back-end (code handling requests on the server). Security is extensively covered.
Anyone who masters the material in these Learning Materials is ready to create a basic functioning website, and has the technical foundation to learn more advanced techniques.
“We are pleased to release these LPI Learning Materials for Vietnamese. We hope that this will give students and teachers in Vietnam a good entry point into important areas of IT. Translations of further materials into Vietnamese are in preparation, as are the exams themselves,” says Kenji Ito, LPI Director of Communications in Japan.
