Training Plus Institute in Bahrain Adds Courses Dedicated to LPI Certification

Training Plus Institute in Bahrain Adds Courses Dedicated to LPI Certification

Training Plus Institute (TPI) is a leading source of professional education for business and computing in The Kingdom of Bahrain. Founded in 1996, they have many courses to guide students toward certifications—and now that they have become a Platinum Training Partner with the Linux Professional Institute, courses will now be directed toward LPI certifications as well.

Programs at TPI are approved by Bahrain’s Ministry of Labor. The institute offers in-person training both at their own facilities and at customer sites. They rent equipment for practice and training, and they offer certification testing on-site.

Eduardo Tangug, Training and Quality Manager at TPI, lists key ways in which LPI certification can contribute to their career development:

Industry-recognized credentials

The LPI certifications are globally recognized and respected within the IT industry. Holding an LPI certification demonstrates to employers that students possess the necessary skills and knowledge in Linux, BSD, and/or FOSS technologies, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.

Linux Expertise

Linux is a widely used operating system in the IT industry, particularly in the realm of FOSS. LPI certification equips students with in-depth knowledge of Linux administration, networking, security, and troubleshooting. This expertise opens up a wide range of career opportunities in system administration, network administration, cloud computing, and DevOps.

Practical skills development

LPI certification courses at Training Plus Institute focus on providing hands-on practical training. Students gain real-world experience by working on Linux-based projects and scenarios, enabling them to develop the skills needed to tackle complex IT challenges.

Career advancement opportunities

LPI certification acts as a stepping stone for career advancement. It can help students secure higher-level positions, increased responsibilities, and better the salary prospects. Additionally, LPI certifications provide a solid foundation for further specialization in specific areas of Linux, BSD, and FOSS technologies.

Professional networking opportunities

Becoming LPI certified furthers networking opportunities for students, opening the door to LPI Membership, and introduces students to LPI Community volunteer opportunities.

Continuous learning and growth

LPI certifications encourage a culture of continuous learning and growth. Holding an LPI certification demonstrates a commitment to professional development and ongoing skill enhancement, which is highly valued by employers in the ever-evolving IT industry.

Currently, TPI has added courses to its curriculum for the LPIC-1 certification. Their goal is to certify 100 students for LPIC-1 this year. They plan to also teach LPIC-2 certification topics in the future.

TPI is also seeking dramatic growth. Last year they trained about 250 learners, and this year they want to increase admissions to 350. Most of their learners are from Bahrain, but a few come from Saudi Arabia as well.

The Linux Professional Institute certification holds significant value and can greatly benefit Training Plus Institute learners in building strong careers in the field of free and open source software (FOSS) and Information Technology (IT). Training Plus Institute has achieved stability, particularly in the LPIC-1 training program. We are confident that this positive trend will continue and lead to further growth and success.—Eduardo Tangug, Training and Quality Manager at TPI

By offering LPI certifications, TPI is providing its students with valuable knowledge and expertise to enhance their career prospects and professional growth. This partnership represents a step towards continuous improvement and innovation, aligning with TPI’s commitment to advancing educational quality and fostering development in the IT and open-source sectors. This agreement is an important milestone for us, and we are excited to begin our collaboration.—Sonia Ben Othman, LPI Partner Development & Success Manager for Maghreb
